Biden campaign plans advertising blitz amid concern for his health
President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign on Friday said it would spend $50 million on campaign ads in battleground states. The campaign said it had $240 million on hand in July, up from $212 million last month. The president, first lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and second gentleman Douglas Emhoff plan to visit every background state in the coming weeks, the campaign said. The blitz will include online, radio, and TV ads.

The ABC News anchor was an adviser to former President Bill Clinton. In the interview, which aired Friday, the president insisted he had one bad night during the debate but was still qualified to run for reelection. He said he might bow out of the race “if the Lord Almighty comes down and tells me that.”
