Attackers target American University in Kabul
Terrorists killed at least one person and wounded 18 others today in an attack on the American University of Afghanistan in Kabul. As-yet unidentified foreign nationals are among the wounded. The man killed was an Afghan security guard. So far, no group has claimed responsibility and security forces have not been able to track down the attackers. U.S. military advisers are working with Afghan forces to investigate the incident, according to the Pentagon. The university, founded in 2006, is modeled after U.S. colleges and offers liberal arts courses to about 1,000 students.
