Arizona GOP gives election audit results

Arizona GOP gives election audit results

At the start of a public presentation on Friday, Arizona Senate President Karen Fann told attendees to remain calm and civil throughout the unveiling of the highly contentious forensic election audit into Maricopa County’s votes. A leaked draft report found nearly identical results to the county’s original reports from Nov. 2020. Their hand-count and analysis actually found 99 more votes for President Joe Biden and 261 fewer for former President Donald Trump than were originally reported. The audit also counted 994 fewer votes than the county official canvas.

What else did the audit reveal? Doug Logan, CEO of Florida cybersecurity firm Cyber Ninjas, reported instances of ballots tabulated twice, noncounty voters casting ballots in Maricopa County, and more mail-in ballots received than were sent out. Election officials said these were instances not of fraud but of college students or military members voting from a temporary address or of mail-in ballots with signature problems getting fixed. None of the inconsistencies were significant enough to alter the outcome of the presidential election. Republicans in Texas and Pennsylvania are pursuing similar forensic audits.

not silent

It is clear that there is disagreement about sources and information; and, to be fair, all media sources are human (i.e., none are perfect). Unfortunately, the disagreements seem to be causing division in the Body of Christ. I do not have all the answers, but I know who does:

"If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:31b-32

Since we cannot agree which sources are telling the truth-or even what the truth is-perhaps it would helpful to look upward to the AUTHOR OF TRUTH and ask HIM for guidance instead of relying on our own human understanding.

Addressed to DAL,

“Absolutely amazing and terribly disappointing to see so-called Christians who continue to spout lies and misinformation regarding the last presidential election and Arizona. Biden won.”

So what news organizations are you reading? Are they reliable or are they spouting out propaganda? Are they doing a “clean up” job for Democrats? Calling us liars seems very uncharitable don’t you think? You read the left leaning (though they are supposedly central in opinion - but not really!) papers and articles but just perhaps you are gullible and don’t know it. Now this recount showed some issues with the chain of custody of ballots and there were about 50,000 ballots in question if you read the report.

Now look at all the money Zuckerberg poured into Arizona?

Did Zuckerberg just want fair elections? Don’t you remember him being grilled by Republicans on Capitol Hill? Do you really believe that the nonprofit run by a former Obama official was nonpartisan? Now I could call you all kinds of uncharitable names but you are a brother in Christ so I won’t do that. Here is a paragraph from the link:

“For example, in Maricopa County, the only county in the state to flip in the 2020 election, President Trump increased his vote total by more than 248,000 votes yet lost the county to Biden.19 In 2020, Biden improved on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 vote total in the county by more than 337,000 votes. This nearly 90,000-vote difference cannot be explained by registration increases. While Democratic voter registration in Maricopa County has grown more than Republican registration since the 2016 election, the net increase was fewer than 50,000 votes and registered Republicans still outnumber registered Democrats by more than 100,000 voters. In counties that went for Biden in 2020, Zuckerbucks seem to have helped boost Democratic turnout.”

Now are you still determined to call us liars and such? Perhaps just a little charity is needed! Now was it fair that all these funds were poured into AZ and used to sway the vote? Do you really believe it was all above board? I am waiting for an apology.

Clearly there are dramatically different interpretations of the significance of these results. Why is that? To simply say that the originally tallies were essentially confirmed misses the reason for conducting this audit. It was to identify vulnerabilities in procedures so they could be corrected and voters assured of future election integrity. The fact that 50,000 ballots had questionable legality or authenticity shouldn't be so glibly dismissed. Your readers are interested in knowing the details of WHAT kind of discrepancies were uncovered and HOW they were explained. Since this audit has prompted many legislators to call for similar audits in their own states, it seems that the results were probably more significant than your article suggests.

Absolutely amazing and terribly disappointing to see so-called Christians who continue to spout lies and misinformation regarding the last presidential election and Arizona. Biden won. These same Christians who lie and spread this misinformation then turn around and want people to believe their "testimony" when they try and share Christ with someone. How shameful. Evangelicals use to care about truth and facts. All they seem to care about now is political power, the truth and facts be damned.

I am very disappointed in this journalism. Ms. Lumetta does not seem to have actually watched the results. It is long (over 3 hours) and at times tediously detailed, but the results revealed VERY significant findings. For all of you who did not take the time to watch, here are just a few:
- at least 17,224 votes were included in the results that should never have been accepted as valid, due to double, or in some cases triple, voting by the same voter.
- More than 9,000 mail-in ballots were received and recorded than the official number of mail-in ballots sent out by the county.
- More than 23,000 voted by mail despite moving to Maricopa County after the October 5 cutoff date.
- Nearly 2,500 ballots were shown in the early vote returns that do not have a voter listed as casting them.
- Maricopa County deleted a large volume of county election records from the 2020 general election from computer servers just prior to the information being handed over to auditors.
The margin of victory in Arizona was 10,457 votes. Those numbers ARE significant enough to alter the election. However, more importantly, those numbers reveal a significant amount of fraud, no matter who actually won. The audit was always about finding out if fraud took place. It most certainly did.

Funny thing is, Biden is just as bad as or worse than predicted. Republicans would be set up for a huge electoral victory in '22 and '24 ... if they weren't so busy showcasing the craziness like Cyber Ninjas, Lin Wood, and the former President.

Trump lost in 2020. He's setting the GOP up for electoral defeat for many years to come if we don't come to our senses.

I have been following a Christian senator from AZ for months - it seems that there is evidence to pursue regarding duplicate ballots, among other things. I don't think of myself as a conspiracy theorist at all but merely someone who would like all truth to come to light. If there are truly more irregularities, by all means let us find out now. We need to know that going forward we can trust election results. I really wish we could go back to photo id in person, but that is probably not likely.

"None of the inconsistencies were significant enough to alter the outcome of the presidential election. " ?
According to the maligned Epoch Times article, "Arizona Senate Hears of Multiple Inconsistencies Found by Election Audit" (September 24, 2021, updated September 27, 2021: "the
report highlighted potential issues with a combined total of 53,305 ballots." I have not seen the report, but how can Caroline Lumetta assure readers, "None of the inconsistencies were significant enough to alter the outcome of the election"? With regard to one area of concern: "“Mail-in ballots were cast under voter registration IDs for people that may not have received their ballots by mail because they had moved, and no one with the same last name remained at the address.... approximately 23,344 votes ... may have this condition.”
Cyber Ninjas noted in its report that if ballots are sent by forwardable mail, this would violate the Arizona Elections Procedures Manual.
“The Senate should consider referring this matter to the Attorney General’s Office for a criminal investigation as to whether the requirements of ARS 16-452(C) have been violated,” the company stated in the report." We may not agree with Falun Gong, but I am assuming The Epoch Times did not pull these numbers out of the air. The difference in reported election results was about 10,000 votes.

I’m sure all the conspiracy theorists are already hard at work spinning the results of this audit.

I’ll admit I am super sceptical that someone like Biden, with his possible ethical lapses, his son Hunter, and likely dementia, could win the election. But we conservatives have to admit that our man Trump did shoot off his own toes, shoved his feet in his mouth, ( or any other metaphor you prefer for multiple offensive statements and gaffes) and basically alienated a huge number of voters who should have been solidly in his corner. The election was Trump’s to lose and he beat himself handily.

PS yes I voted for Trump both elections and I believe he tried to do a lot that was right for the People of the USA. But in my dictionary, beside the term “flawed candidate” is a picture of Donald Trump.

Which audit findings listed in the Epoch Times article are untrue?

Which audit findings listed in the Epoch Times article are untrue?

They're probably not reporting it because they try to rely upon credible sources and actual facts. They should be commended for such. Evangelicals need to quit spreading the lie that Biden didn't actually win. They have zero actual proof of such- as all the courts have noted. Get over it. Christians are supposed to be truth tellers even if the truth hurts. Do better.

There were pretty significate findings in the audit. "World" why are you not reporting this.
