37 dead in Ukraine after Russian missile strike

Emergency workers dug through the rubble of a destroyed apartment building in Dnipro, Ukraine, after a Russian missile strike on Saturday left dozens of civilians trapped under debris. Russia launched 33 cruise missiles at targets across Ukraine on Saturday. Ukraine said it shot down 21 of those missiles.

What is Russia saying? Russia’s Defense Ministry acknowledged the attack and said the rockets struck where intended. Russia did not admit to harming any civilians, insisting it was aiming for military and infrastructure targets.
