The photo above is from our recent staff retreat in Asheville. We had a great time of planning, training, and fellowship. It was the first time we’ve had the entire group together!

We’re excited to announce the addition of two new members of the team:

Leigh Jones joined the WORLD Radio team as our news editor after serving as managing editor for WORLD Digital. Leigh spent eight years as a newspaper reporter in Texas before joining WORLD in 2011. She has survived two major hurricanes in the last 10 years and wrote a book about one: Infinite Monster. Leigh covers education in a weekly column for WORLD Digital.

Anna Johansen joined the team as our summer intern. Anna is from Chicago and graduated from the World Journalism Institute in 2018. She is a speech and debate coach and teaches English, history, and drama to high schoolers. She is also finishing up a degree in English.
