NICK EICHER, HOST: Preparations for the hurricane got pretty creative at Zoo World in Panama City Beach.
With dangerous winds on the way. Keepers moved the big snakes into trash cans and the male goats into the rabbit exhibit, but it was the flamingos who got the most colorful accommodations.
Thirty flamingos packed into a block-walled restroom for safety, honking and wandering between the sinks and stalls. Of course, leaving pink feathers everywhere.
Keepers say it was the cramped quarters that actually helped to calm the birds during the storm.
Among the guests on hand, Scuttle, Mango Shrimproll, and the largest bird of the flock, Mr. Sparkle Pants himself.
So yep, everybody had to shelter from the hurricane. But judging from the video, the flamingos had the liveliest room in the whole place.
