NICK EICHER, HOST: Quick addendum to the news from Independence Day weekend:

The champion hot dog chomper remains the hot dog chomp-champ.

Joey Chestnut won his 18th Mustard Belt at the Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July hot dog eating contest.

Chestnut downed 66 dogs and buns in ten minutes.

For those keeping track ... the finish was ten short of Chestnut’s own world record.

But 16 better than the second-place finisher.

Afterward, he sounded a little disappointed.

CHESTNUT: Man, I got so much room left. ... There’s room for improvement, just like a lotta things. I’m gonna find a way to improve.

Improve? Like by adding dessert?

It’s The World and Everything in It.
