Kicker: Scratch and sniff stamps

NICK EICHER, HOST: The next time you receive a letter in the mail, take a good look at the stamp. Then maybe give it a scratch and follow your nose.

The U.S. Postal Service has officially rolled out its new scratch-and-sniff postage stamps.

The line of scented stamps, called “Frozen Treats Forever,” comes in 10 different designs. Each one features illustrations of two different popsicles by artist Margaret Berg.

The scents include favorites like orange, blueberry and root beer. But buyer beware: the pleasant aroma doesn’t mean the stamps will taste any better.
