NICK EICHER, HOST: How many times have you said, I thought I’d seen everything, but then, well, I saw this.
Subway riders on a New Jersey Transit train last week have got one on you, then, when the rules of public decorum went right out the window.
A man sat on the train nonchalantly shaving, you know, the old-fashioned way, with a Gillette and a face full of shaving cream, right in front of everybody.
One of his fellow commuters captured the whole thing on video, including the final flick of the razor to plop the cream-and-whisker slurry onto the train floor.
The one who made the video has been riding trains for 20 years and he thought he’d seen it all.
But never that.
He posted the video on Twitter.
Reactions ranged from disgust, to sympathy, to amazement that the shaver didn’t cut himself.
As for the New Jersey Transit agency, it’s been running a campaign called “Stay out of the rude zone.”
It does specify shaving is included in the rude zone. In case you didn’t know.
It’s The World and Everything in It.
