WORLD Radio - Kicker: No free lunch

NICK EICHER, HOST: Last month Domino’s Pizza announced an offer to all of its customers in Russia: free pizza for life!

But, and I can hear Milton Friedman ringing in my ears: There’s no free lunch!

And that applies to pizza.

To cash in on the so-called free offer, Russian pizza lovers have to make a lifetime commitment, too: In this case, to become a walking billboard for Domino’s.

The lifetime of pizza went to the first 350 people who got the red-and-blue Domino’s Pizza logo tattooed onto a visible spot on their body.

Almost immediately, pizza fans began sharing pictures of newly-inked tattoos on social media. For “valid participants,”  Domino’s vows to deliver on its promise with up to 100 free pizzas per year for the next 100 years.

It’s The World and Everything in It.
