WORLD Radio - Kicker: Mystery deliveries and unexpected screen time

NICK EICHER, HOST: If you live in Henrico County, Virginia, you might have opened your front door last week to find an old television set atop your welcome mat.

Police say someone—or more than one person—left at least 60 old picture tube TVs on doorsteps around the area.

Adrian Garner is one who found an old school TV at his door. It was a head scratcher, as he tells local station WSLS…

GARNER: First reaction was just – did we order this? I mean, not in an Amazon box or anything. It was just kind of strange.

And one doorbell camera caught the delivery.

Footage showed a man carrying a TV, dressed in moving jumpsuit, wearing what appeared to be a tv on his head.

Police suspect more than one person made these deliveries. If they are found, they could face misdemeanor charges of illegal dumping.

But, there are not going to be 60 counts against them. A few people said they’re pretty happy. Yeah, thanks for the gift.

It’s The World and Everything in It.
