Kicker: Man bites dog

NICK EICHER, HOST: Journalists are always looking for the proverbial man-bites-dog story. Only sometimes, it’s not proverbial!

Last week the Washington radio station WTOP reported on a fellow who’d quite likely engaged in too much merrymaking.

OK, way too much of it, because he was wearing way too few clothes.

As in wearing nothing, and milling about in a neighborhood in Mannassas, Virginia.

Now, that’s enough to attract authorities every time, and sure enough, they showed up.

Not long after that, a scuffle ensued. An off-duty FBI agent jumped in to try to help. And the man bit him.

But eventually authorities did manage to bring the man under control. And in the process of investigating what led up to the strange situation, they found that, yes—the man had bitten his dog, too.

Sorry, but that’s just always going to make news.
