WORLD Radio - Kicker: Ill will at Goodwill

NICK EICHER, HOST: A Goodwill worker in Texas collecting donated items last week found something that suggested ill will.

He was sorting a pile of clothing when he encountered an albino python.

REICHARD: AYE! YIKES!

Manager James Murphy says at first it was not clear whether the snake slithered away from its owner and was accidentally dropped off. Or whether the donor intended to make such a frightening gift.

Well now we know, it was just a mistake. Toki is the python’s name. He’s been missing for five months and doesn’t appear to have missed a meal.

Goodwill is returning the snake and its owner says he’s learned a valuable lesson: This time he’s going to buy a terrarium with a proper top so that Toki stays put.

It’s The World and Everything in It.
