That’s New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. headed into the locker room. He’d cramped up during a loss last month to the Philadelphia Eagles.
And here’s why his legs started to cramp.
BECKHAM: I really don’t like water. I’m trying. I really just don’t like it. You know, when you get that stomach feeling, it’s all slushy, like I’m trying to stay hydrated, but…
So what he did instead was retreat to the locker room so a trainer could stick an intravenous line in his arm. He left before halftime and returned after halftime late. Takes awhile for the fluids to kick in.
That news caught coach Pat Shurmur by surprise. His response? “What a business.”
