WORLD Radio - Kicker: Happy to be alive

NICK EICHER, HOST: Tracy Samuels lives in a small town in the north central part of Massachusetts. She was still asleep last Thursday morning, and about 11:30 she heard a loud bang.

Obviously, it woke her up and her first thought was:

“Why is there a truck in my living room?”

SAMUELS: Went through one wall and through the living room and out the other side of the house and it missed me by approximately six inches.

It destroyed the family Christmas tree and their gifts, but no one got hurt. Husband Jason Samuels says the items they lost are replaceable.

But he and his wife have been together for 27 years, and she is not replaceable.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash and they’ve not filed charges.

But for the Samuels family just being together this Christmas will be that much sweeter.

It’s The World and Everything in It.
