NICK EICHER, HOST: I think the rule is, Christmas decorations down by New Year’s. So, one final Christmas story:
This seems like an idea that’ll catch on. One New York City family of four got the chance to spend an overnight in a special Airbnb in Manhattan’s iconic FAO Schwarz store. It was all outfitted like a kid’s dream sleepover in Santa’s workshop.
The toy store set up a temporary living room, dining table, and beds shaped like Santa’s sleigh—all with a view of Rockefeller Center.
David Niggli of FAO Schwarz…
NIGGLI: And you of course have the big giant Christmas Tree that sits right outside our window. So this lucky family will be able to sit here, gaze upon it, dance on the piano, experience all the experiences we have at FAO.
Dance on the piano, you heard that. Did you ever see the movie “Big,” where Tom Hanks danced on a full piano keyboard—that’s the one. They got to play with that, not to mention racing remote control cars down the halls of the store—all 20,000 square feet of it.
It’s The World and Everything in It.
