Kicker: Cat-whispering skills

NICK EICHER, HOST: We don’t typically advertise job openings here, but we thought we’d make an exception today.

A Facebook user named Joan Bowell recently posted a unique job opportunity on a picturesque Greek island.

The ideal candidate would be older than 45 and have “cat-whispering skills.”

That’s important because the job involves taking care of cats. And not just few: 55 cats to be exact.

Bowell built her own island cat sanctuary overlooking the Aegean sea called God’s Little People Cat Rescue.

The job includes living accommodations on the island and what Bowell calls a “living wage.”
