A person’s a person no matter how small, but try telling that to police in Montréal! 

Stephanie Emond was pulled over and handed a $135 ticket for driving in the two-passenger carpool lane. In the backseat was her infant daughter.

But the officer said the baby didn’t count — because the little girl doesn’t have a driver’s license.

Emond told Canadian television, CTV, the law is on her side.

EMOND: There’s no definition of passenger. So when there’s no definition, we cannot make one up.

A transportation department spokesman later clarified that carpool lanes have no age limits. But Emond may still have to fight the ticket in court.
