WORLD Radio - Kicker: A taco complaint

NICK EICHER, HOST: You can imagine some of the phone calls and some of the complaints that police departments receive every day. But Slidell, Louisiana’s finest received a really spicy one.

This one happened at the local Taco Bell. It wasn’t a robbery. It wasn’t even a fight.

No, this complaint had to do with the restaurant itself. A caller phoned police to complain that the Taco Bell had run out of both crispy and soft taco shells.

The police conceded this was truly a travesty, just not a crime. It’s not as though they were out of donuts, and the Slidell police have a good sense of humor about that, too. On social media, SPD said this of the tacoless Taco Bell, “Hopefully, they are replenished in time for Taco Tuesday!”

It’s The World and Everything in It.
