NICK EICHER, HOST: Two-year-old Logan Moore needs some help walking.
He has low muscle tone, and that makes it difficult for him to move. A physical therapist recommended a walker for Logan.
But his parents weren’t sure insurance would cover the cost.
So they found out how to make a walker from PVC pipe. They trekked down to their local Home Depot in Cedartown, Georgia, and asked an employee for help finding the parts.
And help they got. The store manager told the family to get some ice cream and come back in an hour.
And when they did, the Moores found the PVC pipe walker fully assembled. Ready to use. And at no charge!
Logan’s dad Justin Moore told CBS…
MOORE: Oh, it means so much, because I’m ready for him to be running around and wearing me out, you know, trying to keep up with him. And this is just the first step.
And no doubt looking forward to many more.
