Kicker: A new goat in town

NICK EICHER, HOST: New York’s finest responded to an unusual call recently. Someone phoned in an emergency concerning a crying kid in that person’s backyard in Queens.

It was a kid alright, but of the Bovidae family: in other words, a baby pygmy goat. But you need to listen to this. You can hear how someone would mistake this goat for a human child.

The officers named him “Josh,” and yes, super cute. They taxied him to a nearby shelter, where he enjoyed some hay before heading off to an animal sanctuary.

The NYPD social media team Tweeted—quote—“There’s a new GOAT in town, and it’s not [Tom Brady].”

It’s gotta have something to do with the New York Jets-New England Patriots rivalry. GOAT, all caps, an acronym for Greatest Of All Time.

Tom Brady of the Patriots, of course, truly is the greatest of all time. His accomplishments are too numerous to list.
