Authorities in California say four people staged a series of fake bear attacks—inside luxury cars.

A Rolls-Royce and a couple of Mercedes-Benzes.

The goal? A six-figure insurance payout—which they got but won’t be keeping.

They submitted video of the so-called bear attack on the interiors.

But a wildlife expert took one look and said, It’s a guy wearing a bear suit!

Now they found out their sentence and they’ll be spending their weekends wearing prison jumpsuits instead.

And spending weekdays working so they can pay their restitution.

Turns out their story just didn’t bear scrutiny.
