WORLDmag.com New Year's resolutions

Thanks to all of you who are reading our series of profiles of couples married at least 35 years. We have several news series related to marriage that we’d like to begin in the new year, and we welcome your thoughts on people or groups we should interview in connection with them:

Many young people are delaying marriage and childbearing so as to finish graduate school, become well-set in their careers, or generally “mature”—but getting married and having children enormously helps the maturing process. We’d like to profile some couples in their early 30s who married (and perhaps had children) 10 or more years ago: How did they work through the challenges? The number of Christian interracial marriages is growing. Some evangelicals have disapproved of them, but the Bible is positive on breaking down racial and ethnic barriers, and we’d like to profile some couples who are doing just that. Lots of unbiblical churches welcome gay visitors, and lots of biblical churches don’t. We’d like to profile biblically orthodox churches that welcome gays without approving of homosexual “marriage,” and show how those churches do that.

We’re also planning to improve our coverage of both hard news and cultural topics such as music, television, and food. Ideas are welcome. We also want to throw light on how Christian groups are dealing with long-taboo topics such as sexual abuse and mental illness.
