The chapel at Vadito, near Pensaco in northern New Mexico. This photo was taken in the spring of 1943 as part of of the Farm Security Administration-Office of War Information Photograph Collection. The more than 100,000 mostly black and white photos, including a selection on churches, form an extensive pictorial record of American life between 1935 and 1944. They are now available online via the Library of Congress.
