Nigel Farage, leader of the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP), on his July 4 decision to resign as party leader. He said his “political ambition has been achieved” with the United Kingdom’s June 23 “Brexit” vote to leave the European Union. Farage represents the United Kingdom in the European Parliament and said he would serve out his term as a member of that body.
