Call it a case of delayed justice. On June 14 the Supreme Court unanimously agreed that the phrase "under God" should remain a part of the Pledge of Allegiance-at least for now. By ruling on a narrow technicality (without legal custody of his school-age daughter, an atheist father has no right to sue) the justices all but guaranteed that the emotionally charged issue will soon be resurrected. Indeed, secularists have already pledged they'll be back with a stronger case in the future.
