Planned Parenthood's 327,653 'sales'

It’s time for Planned Parenthood’s annual report on how many babies died in the abortion mills and how much taxpayer money went to such an organization. Do you oppose the slaughter of unborn babies? Too bad. The abortion mill will continue its mission to ensure “safe,” government-sanctioned baby deaths.

In fiscal year 2014, Planned Parenthood killed 327,653 children and took in more than $528 million in tax funding. “The abortion rate may be declining across America,” SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser said, “but not in Planned Parenthood clinics. Their latest annual report is fresh evidence that Planned Parenthood remains an abortion-centered, profit-driven business.”

The fruits of our labor ended up at a place created to destroy the fruit of the womb. The good news is the abortion rate has dropped, as WORLD’s Courtney Crandell reported. Some states have passed laws to protect babies and abortion-seeking women and defunded Planned Parenthood. Let’s hope the rate will continue to decrease as women learn more about the development of the babies in their wombs.

Life Decisions International, a pro-life, non-profit organization, reported 313 corporations stopped funding Planned Parenthood. This is also good news, but we need government funding cut off completely. Although tax money isn’t supposed to go toward abortions, with clever accounting … who knows? Planned Parenthood employees have lied about fetal development and reportedly covered up statutory rape.

Christians probably feel similar about courts today redefining marriage to include two people of the same sex as Christians did when the high court in Roe v. Wade legalized abortion in 1973. Just as America has capitulated to the ridiculous notion of the government recognizing a “marriage” between two men, it succumbed to a judge-made “right” for women to kill their unborn children before viability. I believe killing unborn babies is worse than deviant sexual behavior, but the point remains the same.

America will be judged for allowing this child sacrifice. God judged the Israelites for doing it. “Moreover you took your sons and your daughters, whom you bore to Me, and these you sacrificed to them to be devoured. Were your acts of harlotry a small matter, that you have slain My children and offered them up to them by causing them to pass through the fire?”

While women don’t pass their babies through the fire or slaughter them on altars to false gods with names like Baal or Molech anymore, babies are dismembered in clinics and washed down sinks today for idols called convenience and consequence avoidance. Judgment will come.

Despite human depravity, which will get worse, there is hope. If the murderer can be forgiven, so can those who aid and abet the murder. As the Apostle John wrote, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” These words are as simple now and for all time as they were then. In the midst of all this chaos and destruction, God is still saving.
