With deer-hunting season fast approaching, Tennessee car dealer Greg "Lumpy" Lambert announced plans to offer vouchers for a bolt-action, 8 mm deer rifle with every car sold. Gun control activists denounced the planned "Second Amendment" sales campaign at Mr. Lambert's Advantage Auto Sales car lot near Knoxville. The vouchers, valued at around $100, will be voided if the holders aren't qualified to own a gun. "We are in East Tennessee," he said. "This is a sportsman's paradise." Actress Anne Heche was hospitalized after wandering up to a rural home appearing shaken and confused, hours after her breakup with Ellen DeGeneres became public. Fresno County (Calif.)
