Massachusetts teachers unions support public restroom bill

There’s a bill in the Massachusetts legislature that states:

“Any public accommodation including without limitation any entity that offers the provision of goods, services, or access to the public that lawfully segregates or separates access to such public accommodation or other entity based on a person’s sex shall grant all persons admission to and the full enjoyment of such public accommodation or other entity consistent with the person’s gender identity.”

In plain language, it means that grown men can use the same public restrooms, changing rooms, and showers as young girls. And teachers unions in the state support it. The Massachusetts Teachers Association and the American Federation of Teachers Massachusetts stand behind a measure that would make children potential prey for molesters.

“The issue with the latest bill is not that it opens up opposite-sex restrooms in the schools, because they’re already open in the schools at this point in Massachusetts,” Sean Ryan, director of communications for MassResistance, told LifeSiteNews. “This pending legislation opens the floodgate to adults being able to victimize children in public facilities. Erasing the distinction of sex and allowing men to use opposite-sex facilities is a predator’s dream.”

What kind of person would advocate men using women’s restrooms? Has perversion reached such a level where it’s considered enlightened that a man pretending to be a woman can share intimate facilities with young girls on the basis of “civil rights”? What about rights to modesty, privacy, and safety for women and girls? The U.S. Supreme Court decided they have a right of privacy in the U.S. Constitution to kill their own children, yet they have no such right to a same-sex space?

Homosexuals are really after special rights, super rights, over everyone else’s. The great majority of people must now live according to the deviant desires of a few. Decent people are supposed to put a stop to things like this. Will the state’s Republican governor, Charlie Baker, veto this bill if it reaches his desk? Maybe, he said, “It would depend on what it says.”

Lord, help us have a heart for the lost under such circumstances. Their desires aren’t the private leave-us-alone variety. They’re in-your-face desires that affect everyone else, especially vulnerable children who depend on adults to protect and guide them. Sometimes it might be difficult for us to have a heart for the lost, especially when children are placed in danger, but we remember what God told the Apostle Paul: “I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.”

God is longsuffering, and Christ came to seek and to save the lost, as we once were.
