Return to Babel
Larry Schweikart’s article was great. What a writer. Boy, I had to work to follow and grasp the depth of his insights. I cannot tell you enough how much I appreciate what WORLD is doing—and doing it so well at this crucial time for us to be engaged and aware as Christians.
Tom Hovsepian / Lahaina, Hawaii
I was thankful you addressed the issue of globalism, but I am concerned about comments such as “Globalism appears to be in decline once again.” Globalists have enormous resources, technical abilities, and influence. There will be equally enormous casualties before they are defeated unless the Church pushes back.
Gisele Baribeau / Dorchester, Ontario
As I have studied the New World Order, I find the globalists’ goals are similar to what I read about in Revelation 13, and they are accelerating efforts to achieve their goals. Will they usher in the Antichrist and the false prophet of Revelation 13?
Curt Karg / Idaho Falls, Idaho
Using a single verse in Acts to close an argument about how the UN, NATO, the World Bank, and the IMF are evil is bizarre and an intentional twisting of the Scripture to further a political view. This article and its author leave many of us who are “politically homeless” with the impression that WORLD is becoming another crass, cruel, fear-based media outlet.
Ben Sinclair / Greenville, S.C.
Who is this Larry Schweikart anyway? Great piece on globalism. I am still giggling about “Even as the climate clerics gird their loins in pleather.” More from this writer, please!
Valerie Walker / Spokane Valley, Wash.
Exit stage right
I am among conservatives who question the need to support either Ukraine in Vladimir Putin’s war or an open border. Strong American leadership could end both in short order. Just do it.
Molly Crocker / Everson, Wash.
Jill Nelson’s article posits the righteousness of the United States against the evil of China, Russia, Iran, and Hamas. But is it truthful to say that the United States has honorable intentions in foreign affairs?
Allen Johnson / Dunmore, W.Va.
A statement that sticks
I’ve always thought tattoos were disgusting, so I was tempted to skip this article. However, Emma Freire did a super job exploring the topic, and I’m glad she wrote it, WORLD printed it, and I read it.
Lois Huff / Murphy, N.C.
Chainsaw politics
While reading this article, I had to check several times to see who you were writing about. Argentine President Javier Milei? Well, if it was, it seems he is aggressively channeling his inner Donald Trump.
Bruce McKechnie / Honey Brook, Pa.
The child-free life
Andrée Seu Peterson’s column provides all the more reason for increasing legal immigration numbers.
Mike Smith / Tucson, Ariz.
Cover kudos
As a longtime WORLD reader, I have recently been impressed with the work of the graphic design team. The cover designs in the past year have been exceptional. WORLD Magazine excels as a print magazine.
Wayne Feigal / Fruita, Colo.
Correction
The average age of the Italian population is projected to be 51 by 2050 (“When in Rome,” Sept. 23, 2023, p. 62).
