November 2: With the end of Daylight Savings, Americans may see their way to the curb when they head out for early morning church services. But for those who suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder, the shift may mean falling back into the blues.

Payment by force

November 3: The Supreme Court will hear arguments in Ysursa v. Pocatello Education Association, a case that could decide whether labor unions can force members to pay for political activities with which they disagree.

Election Day

November 4: Just 636 days after Barack Obama officially announced his run for president, Election Day will determine whether the Democrat will be the first African-American elected to the nation's highest office. History will be made either way. If voters choose John McCain, who officially launched his campaign 559 days prior to the election, Sarah Palin will become the nation's first female vice president-and McCain its oldest chief executive ever to take office.

Billy Graham turns 90

November 7: Cake makers will need 90 candles for Billy Graham, legendary evangelist and one of the 20th century's most indelible Christian symbols. According to one report, Graham has reached more than 2 billion people via speaking appearances, radio, and television. Graham's wife of 65 years died on June 14, 2007.

Hall of Famer

November 8: For more than 30 years of public service over the radio airwaves through his radio program Focus on the Family, James Dobson will be inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame. Gay and lesbian activists had attempted to sidetrack Dobson's induction, but the Radio Hall of Fame stood by Dobson, who was elected by industry leaders, historians and educators. Dobson will be inducted alongside Art Bell, long-time host of the paranormal Coast to Coast AM show.

Veterans Day

November 11: America's twin holidays commemorating military service often confuse citizens searching for distinction. For the record: Memorial Day (in May) honors soldiers killed in military service, while Veterans Day celebrates the service of the approximately 25 million military veterans in the nation.

Shaken, not stirred

November 14: Continuing the theme of confusing film titles and hunky action heroes, the James Bond series proceeds with its 22nd offering, Quantum of Solace. Daniel Craig returns as James Bond in a film set to be a sequel to the hit 2006 Bond film, Casino Royale. Mathieu Amalric plays Bond's foil as a character he described in The London Paper as having "the smile of Tony Blair [and] the craziness of [French President Nicolas] Sarkozy."
