Alabamians have until today to file claims to receive compensation from the BP Gulf oil spill of 2010. More than five years since the spill, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reported BP has paid more than $5 billion in claims to date with many thousand more claims left to pay.

Owners of vintage Apple products will find themselves on their own as Apple officially ceases supporting old iPhones, old iMacs, and old MacBook Pros. Owners of iPhones made before the iPhone 4, iMacs made before 2007, and laptops produced in 2009 or before will find their devices ineligible for repair or support from Apple Stores beginning today.

Some 5,000 uniformed actors will re-enact the decisive Battle of Waterloo in Belgium for an estimated 250,000 spectators on its 200th anniversary. Besides tourists, diplomats and royals from across Europe have announced plans to attend the ceremony and re-enactment of Napoleon Bonaparte’s historic defeat by the English and allies. France has not arranged to send dignitaries to the event.

Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton will hold her first major campaign event—complete with formal announcement—on June 13. The Clinton campaign didn’t initially release the location of the rally, but it breaks months of low-key campaigning for the high-profile candidate.

Prosecutors in New York City today will decide whether they’d like to retry 54-year-old Pedro Hernandez for the high-profile 1979 kidnapping and murder of 6-year-old Etan Patz. During a first trial, jurors remained deadlocked, and the judge declared a mistrial.
