COURT ORDERED: A New Hampshire court ordered a homeschooled girl to enroll in public school after it decided she needed exposure to worldviews other than her mother's "rigid" Christian faith. Although Amanda Kurowski, whose divorced parents were at odds over her education, excelled academically and was socially active through extra-curricular activities and elective public-school courses, the court concluded that "it would be remarkable if a 10-year-old child who spends her school time with her mother and the vast majority of all her other time with her mother would seriously consider adopting any other religious point of view."

Baby No. 19 is due March 18, five months after the Duggars' eldest son Joshua and his wife Anna are scheduled to welcome their first baby.
FLED: An Ohio teen who says she fled her home after her Muslim father threatened to kill her for converting to Christianity will remain in Florida foster care while undergoing mediation with her parents, a judge ruled Sept. 3. The state's investigation into Rifqa Bary's allegations will remain sealed. Bary, 17, stated in an affidavit that her family was actively involved with the Columbus-based Noor Islamic Cultural Center where leaders who learned of Bary's conversion allegedly told her father "to deal with this matter immediately"-which could mean honor killing. Bary's attorney John Stemberger said the center is also connected to the ongoing U.S. investigation into Somali-American youth who are training in al-Qaeda-linked terror camps. The next hearing is slated for Sept. 29.
