The Church of the Good Shepherd in Rosemont, Pa., could become one of the first in the United States to convert en masse to Roman Catholicism after the Vatican last month announced that it will allow Anglicans to become Catholic while retaining many of their own practices (like ordaining married priests). Bishop David L. Moyer said Good Shepherd has long opposed The Episcopal Church over its decisions to allow women and practicing homosexuals to serve as clergy: "We'd been praying for this daily for two years," he said to The New York Times of the Vatican's decision. "When I heard the news I was speechless, then the joy came and the tears."
