Hundreds of thousands of people in Buenos Aires turned out for a two-day "Festival of Hope" featuring Christian pop musicians and international evangelist Luis Palau. Organizers said tens of thousands of people made professions of faith in Christ as Savior or pledged to follow Christ more closely as a result of Rev. Palau's preaching. The festival included a food distribution program to 20,000 families and personal outreach visits to 3 million homes in the city of 13.5 million bedeviled by unemployment, poverty, and hunger.
