Globe Trot: Israeli army bars most Palestinians ahead of Friday prayers

Plus, hospitals bombed in Syria, drone footage of Libya attack, Euro 2016, and more

ISRAEL: In response to the Tel Aviv shopping mall attack this week that left four dead, the Israeli army barred most Palestinians from entering Israel ahead of Friday prayers.

Palestinians on social media celebrated the attack, using #operationRamadan.

RAMADAN: “We should all take part in Ramadan,” said a Norwegian secularist. Seriously.

SYRIA: Three hospitals were bombed in three hours in Aleppo yesterday. “We are watching as newborn babies are bombed in their incubators,” said one doctor, pleading for a halt to government assaults on civilian sites.

HILLARY, BENGHAZI, ET AL.: In a closed-door session yesterday, the House Select Committee on Benghazi interviewed two Air Force drone operators on duty the night of the 2012 attack on the U.S. compound in Libya, who apparently caught video footage of what happened. Why did the Pentagon refuse to cooperate with subpoenas for the two? And why did Democrats on the committee fail to show for yesterday’s session?

At the center of the criminal probe into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while secretary of state are apparently declassified emails concerning the highly classified drone operation (that led to Osama bin Laden’s capture and killing, etc.) over Pakistan.

Pretty funny: State Department officials didn’t know Clinton had email to check—set up via her private, in-home server—until they saw the now-iconic photo of her checking email by phone.

IRAQ: Here’s how one American (Christian) man and his team (Preemptive Love Coalition) over this past week have delivered 150,000 pounds of needed food and water to 1,500 families surviving the assault on Fallujah.

GLOBAL: A look at how activists are using religion and blaming, well, everything, on climate change.

FRANCE: Good roundup and guide to Euro 2016 soccer.

WEEKEND READ: Matthew 9.

“And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.’”
