Here's a creative response to the widely ridiculed court ruling declaring the Pledge of Allegiance unconstitutional: U.S. Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.) introduced a bill last week to strip courts below the Supreme Court of their jurisdiction over the Pledge's recital.
Rep. Akin told WORLD he knows the approach is unorthodox, relying on Article III of the Constitution, which gives Congress the power to shape the lower federal courts: "Liberals would like to try and say the Pledge decision is about neutrality, but either our rights come from God, or our rights come from politicians-and can be played with."
