It finally snowed here, the first time since that freak Halloween dumping.

The trees are all like giants frozen in their finery by some fairy's stopwatch, and my father's netting over the raspberry and blueberry bushes is sagging under the weight.

I received a letter from Bubba, the Texas inmate, and they must have had some of the white stuff in Rusk, because he writes this:

Hello Andrée,

Did you get your birthday card yet? Andrée, have you ever looked at snow and thought of Christians' faith? One snowflake won't do much or even be noticed. But if a few million come, they shut streets down. One Christian can't do much, but the unity of many believers can shut Satan down. That is why in the Bible unity is spoken of so many times, not only unity but love. Why? Cause like a snowstorm can shut down a town, many believers can do many things, like free a man from addiction, or save a man from the fire. We are like snow. We can change the outlook of any person. We are called to be light and salt. A city on a high hill. Unity is very strong. Look at the snow. Consider what it can do by all coming together. I love you because of your prayers. I am back to myself again. Thank you so very much.

Love, Bubba

The only part of the letter I don't agree with so much is where he says that "one Christian can't do much." Bubba has done more in the special unit of a prison than some committees have accomplished.
