WikiLeaks founder grounded from the internet over Clinton emails
Ecuador has cut off WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange’s internet access at its embassy in London after the site published damaging emails from Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. The foreign ministry says it will still grant Assange asylum, but it does not want to provide a platform for interference in a foreign election. WikiLeaks claims U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry personally asked Ecuador to stop Assange from publishing documents about Clinton, an allegation the State Department denies. Ecuador’s government said it was acting on its own and not under pressure from foreign entities.
