Wednesday, Oct. 7, marks three years since Hamas terrorists launched a violent attack against Israel, killing roughly 1,200 people and taking more than 250 hostage.
More than 80 of those hostages did not survive. The last remaining living hostages were returned on Oct. 13 of last year, after 843 days of captivity.
As a fragile ceasefire agreement remains in place, Israel will hold a national remembrance event in Tel Aviv at 2:15 p.m. ET to commemorate the attacks. That event can be watched live in the player above. Meanwhile, pro-Palestinian groups in some cities have planned to protest against the Israeli government in other countries—such a demonstration was planned for Dam Square in Amsterdam.
