Wagner Group recruiting in Africa while Ukraine war continues
Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of Russia’s mercenary Wagner Group, on Monday published a video that seemed to be set in Africa, where he claims he is recruiting “real strongmen” to fight among his forces. It’s the first such video he’s posted since June, when he staged a short-lived and largely peaceful uprising against the Kremlin.
What’s going on in the war in Ukraine? Kyiv said on Tuesday that saboteurs inside Russia, coordinated by Ukrainian intelligence services, carried out drone strikes against parked aircraft at airports deep inside Russian territory over the weekend and on Monday.
