Vital Signs: Getting away with murdering baby girls

Aborting girls gets tacit approval in the UK. Two abortionists in England who agreed to administer illegal abortions based on the sex of an unborn baby will not face criminal charges, The Daily Telegraph reported Wednesday. Despite sufficient evidence, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) ruled it would not be in the public interest to punish the abortionists.

An undercover investigation exposed the illegal activity last February. Reporters from The Telegraph accompanied pregnant women to nine different abortion facilities in England. The reporters caught the abortionists and their staff on video allowing a baby girl to be aborted because the parents allegedly wanted a baby boy. In order to make the abortion legal, one abortionist changed the reason for the abortion to the young age of the woman instead of female infanticide.

Secretary of State for Health Jeremy Hunt disputed the dropped charges, saying in a statement that gender-selection abortion is completely unacceptable. He has pressured Attorney General Dominic Grieve for “urgent clarification” on the issue.

License suspension lifted. The Maryland Board of Physicians has lifted abortionist Iris Dominy’s license suspension after determining there is “no imminent danger to public health and safety” from Dominy at this time.

The board initially suspended Dominy’s license because of her involvement in the abortion-related death of Maria Santiago in May. Santiago died after a 12-week abortion in Baltimore because of improper post-anesthesia care at a facility owned by abortionist Steven Brigham. Neither Dominy nor any of her staff had CPR certification at the time. After the Board’s final decision on Aug. 29, Dominy can continue providing abortions, but cannot administer sedation to patients.
