Ukraine invasion a “terrible war,” Russian oligarch says
Andrey Kovalev said in a video on his Telegram channel Monday that at first, he thought Russia would quickly capture Ukraine but now “the whole world is against us.” Kovalev is a Russian real estate businessman and chairman of the All-Russian Movement of Entrepreneurs. He has also held government positions, according to his biography on the movement’s site.
What’s happening on the ground? Ukrainian officials say four people died after Russia launched 60 drones at Ukraine. The military shot down most of them, including all of the 36 drones over Kyiv, but debris hit apartment buildings there and wounded five people. Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin said Sunday that his mercenary group would continue to fight for eastern Ukraine’s city of Bakhmut. He had accused Russia on Friday of depriving his group of ammunition.
