Trump talks walls with Peña Nieto
Donald Trump appeared side-by-side with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto today after the two met behind closed doors in Mexico City. “We did discuss the wall. We didn’t discuss payment of the wall,” Trump said of his trademark plan to fortify the United States’ southern border and have Mexico foot the bill. Peña Nieto, who in the past has compared Trump to Adolf Hitler, acknowledged the two men had differences, but he described their conversation as “open and constructive.” Trump’s visit to Mexico sparked protests around the capital city. The Republican presidential nominee plans to give a speech clarifying his immigration plans this evening in Arizona.
