Trump kicks Washington Post off campaign trail

Calling the newspaper “phony” and “dishonest,” Donald Trump revoked the Washington Post’s campaign press credentials late Monday. The spat apparently started over a headline the Post used for a story about comments the presumptive Republican presidential nominee made after the Orlando terror attack. The original headline read, “Donald Trump suggests President Obama was involved with Orlando shooting.” Trump tweeted his protest, and the Post changed the headline, but not in response to the complaint, editors said. The new headline reads, “Donald Trump seems to connect President Obama to Orlando shooting.” In an interview on Fox News, Trump said Obama “either is not tough, not smart, or he’s got something else in mind” for refusing to use the words “radical Islamic terrorism.”
