Tourist boat sinks in Colombia

Scuba divers and other rescue teams in Colombia on Monday continued to search for bodies and survivors after a tourist boat packed with more than 150 passengers sank. Rescue teams have confirmed that at least six people died and another 15 are still missing. Videos from the incident showed several of the passengers climbing to the top of the boat as other rescue vessels rushed to the scene. The boat sank within minutes. Margarita Moncada, the head of the disaster relief agency in Antioquia state, said three of the survivors are still hospitalized but out of danger. Colombia’s President Juan Manuel Santos, who traveled to the scene, said it’s still unclear what caused the boat to sink. Naval officers have arrived to conduct an investigation, Santos said.
