17 accused of thieving checks from churches during pandemic

Police have arrested seven people since October in connection with a theft ring that stole donations out of church mailboxes in Georgia, according to Fox 5 in Atlanta. Investigators believe the ring is made up of 17 people, 10 of whom still need to be arrested. Officers also say the ring stole around $1.5 million from churches across 14 states, including California.

Who are these people? Fox 5 in Atlanta reported the names of those who have been arrested thus far: Roberto Toboso-Morodo, Mayrelis Rodriguez-Roldan, Arian Ochoa-Agular, Eduardo Antelo-Gonzalez, Dayani Antelo-Gonzalez, Jose Leyva-Guerrero, and Pedro Ramirez-Camillo. All the suspects are in their thirties, and all of them are from Houston, except for Ramirez-Camillo, who is from Tampa.
