South suffers more storms

At least six people died in Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana in a spate of severe weather across the South on Wednesday and Thursday. More than 100,000 people from Texas to Mississippi lost power in the storms, according to PowerOutage.US.

What’s the damage? High wind and suspected tornadoes swept from Oklahoma to Alabama, tearing up homes and toppling trees and power lines. Parts of Louisiana saw extreme flooding. The National Weather Service is sending a team to confirm where the tornadoes touched down. Several areas are still recovering from severe weather over the Easter weekend.
