Pro-life groups set the record straight

In President Joe Biden’s Friday announcement of executive actions to enable abortion, he called for governmental bodies to protect women from being prosecuted for abortion. Pro-life groups are responding. The National Right to Life (NRLC) wrote that more than 70 pro-life organizations joined it in signing a letter saying they oppose penalties for women. NRLC and other pro-life advocates also clarified that the term “abortion” does not apply to treatment for ectopic pregnancies and is not outlawed.

What are pro-life organizations doing now? Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America is visiting homes of voters in battleground states to tell them about abortion policy. Pro-Life Action League is helping increase opposition to an abortionist trying to open an abortion center in Rockford, Ill. In New Orleans, pro-abortion advocates had filed a lawsuit against a trigger law in Louisiana that protects babies in every case except to save the life of the mother. But a New Orleans judge ruled Friday that it should be tried in Baton Rouge and dismissed the case, allowing the law to take effect.
