The 51st annual National March for Life brought thousands of pro-life demonstrators to Washington, D.C., on Friday, marching with the theme “With every woman, for every child.” U.S. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson shared his personal connection to the pro-life cause at the morning rally. “I ... am a product of an unplanned pregnancy,” Johnson said. “My parents—who were just teenagers at the time—chose life. And I am very profoundly grateful that they did.” The crowd also heard from former NFL tight end Benjamin Watson, who encouraged protesters to “Keep pressing on,” saying, “The fight for life is not over.” The rally ended with a prayer from Pastor Greg Laurie and his wife, Cathe, the real-life inspiration for the movie Jesus Revolution.

Did any counterprotests block the march route? A WORLD reporter on the scene said protesters met no resistance on their march through the National Mall, down Independence Avenue, and to the Capitol and the Supreme Court buildings. Counterprotests were reportedly planned but canceled due to snow.
